Azahar Mexican Kitchen is looking for energetic, hospitality-driven bartenders to join our opening team. We're building a modern Mexican restaurant and bar focused on great service, craft cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for team members who are professional, organized, fast-paced, and passionate about taking care of guests. **Duties & Responsibilities** - Welcome guests and create a friendly, comfortable experience at the bar - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipe standards - Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system - Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bar area - Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations - Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate feedback to managers - Process guest payments and handle transactions accurately - Wash and sanitize glassware and bar tools - Assist with restocking liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies - Serve food to guests seated at the bar - Complete opening and closing side work - Follow all TABC and alcohol service guidelines - Support fellow bartenders, servers, and team members as needed - Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions **Requirements** - Previous restaurant or bartending experience preferred - Strong communication and guest service skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Basic math and cash handling skills - Comfortable using POS systems - Professional appearance and strong hygiene habits - Must be at least 18 years old - Food Handler Certification required - TABC Certification required **Physical Requirements** - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods - Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds - Ability to bend, reach, twist, and move quickly throughout shifts - Comfortable working in hot, wet, loud, and fast-paced environments
